Michongo++ began at UDSM’s College of Information and Communication Technologies with a simple belief: useful opportunities should reach people in time for them to act.
Our story
It started with a simple act: sharing an opportunity.
Michongo++ began at UDSM CoICT as a way to help jobs, internships, hackathons, and events reach more people. What grew through WhatsApp is now becoming TalantaX: a company building clearer paths between talent, work, and the organizations that need it.

The community moved beyond campus
People kept inviting others because the information was genuinely useful. One community grew across campus and beyond it, eventually reaching more than 200 members across three active WhatsApp groups.

WhatsApp proved the need
For years, the groups helped opportunities reach real people. They also showed the limits of scattered posts: good roles could disappear in busy chats, and applying still required too many disconnected steps.

TalantaX became the next chapter
As the mission expanded from sharing information to building better access, TalantaX became the company behind the community, its partnerships, and its digital products. Michongo++ remains the community voice.
